European Kitchen Design That Starts with How You Live

Most kitchen companies start with measurements. We start with questions. How do you cook? How do you entertain? What drives you crazy about your current kitchen? Our European-trained designers build your kitchen around your actual life — not around a catalog of standard sizes.

Studio Europa doesn’t sell cabinets. We design European living spaces. That distinction shapes everything we do, from the first conversation to the final 3D rendering you’ll walk through before construction begins.

Our Design Approach

Lifestyle-First Design

Every project starts with understanding how you use your kitchen. A family that cooks together every night needs a different layout than a couple who entertains on weekends. A serious home chef has different appliance and workflow requirements than someone who values clean aesthetics above all else. We design for your patterns, not generic “work triangle” templates.

European-Trained Expertise

Our lead designer Eva Clemens holds a 4-year Swiss cabinetmaking degree and a BFA in Interior Design. She brings 30+ years of experience translating complex projects into manageable steps. Our team understands the full range of LEICHT and Pedini systems — every module, every finish, every configuration option — which means your design can push boundaries without running into manufacturing limitations.

Complete Space Planning

Good kitchen design considers the whole room, not just the cabinets. We plan for appliance placement and utility requirements, lighting design (task, ambient, accent), traffic flow and ergonomics, integration with adjacent living spaces, storage optimization for your specific needs, and how natural light and California’s indoor-outdoor lifestyle factor into the layout.

3D Visualization

You’ll see your kitchen before it’s built. Our photorealistic 3D renderings let you walk through cabinet layouts, evaluate material combinations under different lighting conditions, and refine details until every element works together. This isn’t a rough sketch — it’s a precise preview of your finished space.

From Concept to Construction-Ready Plans

Our design process typically unfolds over 3 to 6 weeks, depending on project complexity

Week 1–2

Discovery & Concepts — Initial consultation, space assessment, and preliminary design concepts. You’ll see 2–3 layout options with different approaches to your space.

Week 2–4

Design Development — Detailed 3D renderings, material selections, and appliance integration plans. Iterative refinement until the design is exactly right.

Week 4–6

Final Specifications — Construction-ready drawings, detailed specifications for all materials and products, and coordination with our contracting and installation teams.

Design Expertise You Won’t Find at a Cabinet Dealer

Most cabinet showrooms employ salespeople. We employ designers. That difference shows up in the work

System knowledge

Our team knows every LEICHT and Pedini module, finish, and configuration. We design with manufacturing capabilities, not against them.

Construction awareness

Because we’re also a licensed general contractor, our designers understand structural implications, electrical requirements, and plumbing constraints from the start.

Material expertise

Extensive experience with European finishes, hardware, and integration systems means fewer surprises during installation.

Holistic thinking

We design kitchens as part of your home, not as isolated rooms. How your kitchen connects to your living space, dining area, and outdoor entertaining areas matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not at all. Some clients come in with Pinterest boards and detailed wishlists. Others know only that they want something different. Our designers are trained to draw out your preferences through conversation and guided exploration of our showroom. Wherever you are in the process, we’ll meet you there.

Those designs are built around selling you cabinets from a specific product line within standard sizes. Our designs are built around your life, your space, and the full capabilities of LEICHT and Pedini’s modular systems. We also design with construction in mind — understanding what walls can move, what electrical work is needed, and how everything comes together.

Yes. Both LEICHT and Pedini offer systems for bathrooms, living spaces, home offices, closets, and more. We can create a cohesive European design language throughout your entire home.

If you have them, bring room measurements, photos of your current space, inspiration images, and any floor plans. But don’t stress — we can work with whatever you have, and we’ll handle precise measurements during the design phase.
